MUSA is a historically informed chamber ensemble dedicated to reimagining the sounds of the Baroque through creative storytelling.

In addition to presenting works from the 17th and 18th centuries, MUSA commissions Baroque-inspired works through its Art Inspiring Art series. In the past several seasons, MUSA has presented concerts on various series, including Early Music America’s Young Performers Festival, SF Music Day, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Alumni Recital Series, Live at Mission Blue, and Noontime Concerts. MUSA has also collaborated with the Legion of Honor and the de Young Museum to create pairing concerts with touring exhibits.

The 2015-2016 season includes concerts at Barefoot Concerts, Old First Concerts, Resonance: First Church Berkeley Performances, the Alliance Française Silicon Valley, and the Berkeley Festival & Exhibition Fringe Concerts.

MUSA is a fiscal affiliate of the San Francisco Friends of Chamber Music.
