British Madeleine Mitchell has performed as a solo violinist and chamber musician in 50 countries in a wide repertoire, including at major festivals and venues such as the BBC Proms, Canberra International Music Festival, Lincoln Center, New York, La Folle Journée Tokyo (2024), Seoul Center for the Arts, and London’s Wigmore Hall and Southbank Centre. Madeleine has performed as a soloist with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the Polish National Radio Symphony, the Kiev Radio and Television Orchestra, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Mitchell’s discography, for which she has been nominated for a Grammy and BBC Music Magazine Awards, includes works written for her by well-known composers, Violin Songs (short popular pieces), Violin Muse, and Violin Conversations, recently released, reviewed by the Telegraph: “Is Madeleine Mitchell the future of Classical Music? An album of subtle charm. She is also a Professor at the Royal College of Music, London, gives masterclasses worldwide, and is Founder Director of the London Chamber Ensemble. The LCE made an album of Howells & Wood Quartets, one of Gramophone’s recommended recordings for 2024, and a further album will be released in Spring 2026. Award-winning pianist Elektra Schmidt performs as a solo artist and in chamber groups in the United States, France, Greece, and the United Kingdom. Notable recent engagements include performing as a soloist with the Santa Rosa Symphony, the Golden Gate Symphony, and the Bay Area’s Awesöme Orchestra. As well as a flourishing performance career, Elektra curates for numerous festivals and art houses in Europe and San Francisco. She is the founder of Artist Migration, an organization dedicated to the integration and mobility of international artists. After graduating summa cum laude from the National Conservatory of her native Greece, Elektra pursued her post-graduate studies in Paris. She received her master’s degree with First Prize and Distinction. Elektra has collaborated with international festivals worldwide, including the San Francisco International Arts Festival, the Flower Piano Festival, and Oxford Philomusica in the United Kingdom.
