Second-prize winners of the 18th International Piano Duo Competition in Tokyo, Pia Bose and Antonio Pastor have garnered critical acclaim for their “remarkable dexterity and subtlety,” as two pianists “who are in perfect harmony and complement one another ideally.” (Versoix Région). Married to each other, American-Swiss pianist Pia Bose and Spanish-Swiss pianist Antonio Pastor formed the Bose-Pastor Duo in 2012. Interviewed on Magma-Espace 2 (Radio Télévision Suisse) and featured in Scènes Magazine, the pianists have appeared in London, Paris, Edinburgh, Lisbon, Milan, Chicago, New York, and Geneva, at notable venues such as the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, the Palais de l’Athénée, and Preston Bradley Hall during WMFT Radio’s live broadcast of the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts.

Pia Bose and Antonio Pastor each obtained the Diplôme de Soliste while studying with Dominique Weber at the Académie Tibor Varga. Pia Bose earned a D.M.A. at the University of Colorado at Boulder and completed earlier studies at the Oberlin Conservatory and the Peabody Institute. She studied with Andrew Cooperstock, Marian Hahn, Joseph Schwartz, and J.Y. Song and holds a B.A. in biopsychology from Oberlin College. Antonio Pastor holds degrees from the Haute École de Musique de Genève and the Real Conservatorio de Música de Madrid, and his former teachers include Andrew Cooperstock, Sébastien Risler, and Fernando Puchol.

As passionate educators, Pia Bose and Antonio Pastor currently teach piano at the École Internationale de Genève and the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève, respectively.
